Culinary / Hospitality Skills Programme

This programme is aimed at students wanting to start a career in the catering industry. This is a perfect introduction into learning basic working kitchen skills. Students will learn about food safety, health and safety and how to work in a catering team. All of which are vital for successful progression into the hospitality and catering industry. Students will learn about the different types of food and methods used to cook them, all of which is experienced in a working kitchen environment. Main subjects include: basic food safety, health and safety in the workplace, working in a hospitality team, preparing and cooking vegetables and preparing and cooking meat and poultry or vegetarian and vegan food. In addition students will develop mathematics and English skills and be able to participate within enrichment activities of various types.
